Simulation of Selective Laser Melting (SLM)
GeonX has developed a new module in Virfac® which allows the user to easily and automatically simulate Additive Manufacturing.
Based on the process parameters, the simulation provides the deformation amplitude of the printed part as well as the residual stresses and plastic strains. In partnership with Sirris (Belgium), Geonx has validated its technology successfully, comparing numerical predictions with the experimental measurements.
